The Last Clouds are Matthew Schott (SL’s brother in fact) and Alistair Quarterman.
They first started writing together 3 years ago under the name Mrs Wilsons Mystical Experience.
Shortly after, they released the now deleted LP ‘Concerning Works of Hatred and Destruction’ in partnership with Morecambe based DJD Records.
The album was favourably reviewed by local bloggers and critics alike, but Matthew and Alistair were never really happy with the release and it was pulled from online stores shortly after its release.
It was during this troublesome period that they started forming ideas and writing songs that would form the cornerstone of The Last Clouds’ unique sound.
The Last Clouds can regularly be found practicing at Pirate Studios in Manchester, or more locally, Faktory in Chester, although they record in their private home studio where they have self-produced their releases to date.
Following their packed-out performance on the Castle Hotel Stage during the After-All Festival 2019, the electronic duo have been enjoying radio play on the likes of ‘The Late Indie Show’ by Carrie Snow and other grassroots podcasts and shows.
They have a vast list of influences including Editors, Bowie, LCD Sound System, Hurts, Vangelis, Kraftwerk and Royksopp.
